Anyone can use the Helpline, whether you are struggling with a substance
use disorder or care about someone who is. Trained Helpline Specialists answer questions, provide support, and connect you to services in Illinois.
Purpose of the Helpline
The Illinois Department of Human Services created the Helpline for those experiencing a substance use disorder. If you or a loved one are struggling with a substance use disorder for opioids or any other substance, please call 833-234-6343 or visit the Helpline website.
The Helpline website allows you to search for providers, learn what you can do to help a loved one experiencing substance use disorder, and find out what to do if somebody is experiencing an overdose.
